If you are just looking for simple customization to Google’s embeddable calendar, which does not include the changing of Google calendar’s widget style, then you don't have to go anywhere else because the ability to customize Google calendar is provided right out of the box from Google Calendar application. Following is the list of features provided from Google Calendar app to customize Google Calendar widget.
First go to the Calendar Settings option of the calendar you want to customize.
Once you are in Calendar Details screen, click on Customize the color, size and other options.
This will take you to Google Embeddable Calendar Helper screen and here you have a lot of options to customize Google calendar:
1 – Change the title of calendar, which is displayed right on top of left hand side of Google embeddable calendar widget.
2 – Choose what you want to show on calendar.
3 – Choose the default view for your calendar.
4 – Set calendar’s width and height.
5 – Select the default language and starting day for calendar, e.g. Sunday, Monday or Saturday.
6 – Provide a background color to match calendar widget with the web page it’s going to get embedded with and also select the option to show border or not.
7 – Calendars to display, this is a very useful option in cases where it is required to have an overlay calendar capabilities, which means you can display information from multiple calendars into one.
8 – The last one is to set calendar’s time zone.
