21st Century Classroom - Youtube EDU for Educators

<< 21st Century Classroom - Youtube EDU for Learners

YouTube EDU for teachers is a solution to many classroom related problems. In my previous post, we discussed the so-called epidemic of Attention Deficit Disorder. Educationists can now retain the attention of students who are unable to fix their minds on a particular thing for a longer time by incorporating YouTube videos. Not only can these videos put an end to monotony in classrooms, they can also supplement and reinforce their notes.

There is a considerable number of videos on a variety of subjects present on YouTube. They range from lengthy lectures by renowned university professors to short and colorful videos by seasoned Montessori trained teachers. Hence, there are videos available to supplement lessons for a variety of classroom settings.

Not only can teachers use this site to teach, they can enhance their own teaching strategies by learning from a host of other educationists from around the world. They may benefit from lectures by expert pedagogists, or merely by watching lessons by other teachers. The site has a user-friendly interface which facilitates them in finding out videos according to their requirements.

Time is a big constraint while teaching. Many educationists are now using YouTube to fight this impediment by uploading their lectures for students. In this way, teachers don’t have to spend their precious time in repeating their lessons. Students can listen to them for as many times as they need to. This certainly helps learners in retaining study information.

There are all sorts of learners present in a traditional classroom setting. Teachers generally have a hard time catering to the needs of each and every individual student. YouTube can act as a good teaching assistant by engaging all these students in different videos dealing with their specific needs, all at the same time. In the meantime, teachers can focus their energies on students who require their immediate presence.

Good teachers are an asset for this world. They shouldn’t constraint themselves within the walls of a classroom. Why educate only 25 students when, in retrospect, you can inspire thousands?

  1. I have been working with YoutubeEDU since the last three months, and trust me, it does help quite a bit. However, it will take more time to mature.
